Just an hour and a half from the heart of Melbourne, nestled at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, is the charming replica of the original Noojee railway station. If you’re a history buff, a railway enthusiast, or simply visiting the beautiful Baw Baw region, you won’t want to miss it! You’ll get to see a stunning 1950s J-class locomotive that’s sure to ignite some nostalgia.
Our newly rebuilt station building has been transformed into the Noojee Heritage Gifts and Coffee Café, previously the Noojee Heritage Centre. While the centre still showcases some fascinating displays, other displays have now found new homes at the Platform and Goods Shed, as well as our revamped 1960s Louvre Van Carriage.
Opened in December 2024, Noojee Heritage Gifts and Coffee is not just a café; it’s a cozy spot where you can find the perfect birthday gift, a unique souvenir, or a great book, all while enjoying a delightful cup of tea, coffee, or a sweet treat!
We love hosting groups, events, Probus gatherings, and rallies, so feel free to reach out for bookings! You can contact us at noojeegifts@outlook.com or check out our Facebook page for more information.
The Noojee Railway Station Precinct brings our region’s timber and railway heritage to life, offering a glimpse into the lives and cultures of those who lived here in the past. Our enthusiastic team of volunteers is always here to help you uncover and appreciate our rich history.
Once you’ve explored the Noojee Railway Station Precinct, take some time to stroll through our lovely township and see what else it has to offer. You can also extend your adventure by visiting more local attractions!
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
