The Ada Tree is a magnificent Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans) and is renowned as one of the largest living trees in Victoria and one of the largest known flowering trees in the world. Standing at 76 metres tall, the tree has a broken top, suggesting it may have initially reached 90 metres before sustaining storm damage. Its circumference measures 15 metres, with some records indicating a girth of up to 17 metres. Estimated to be between 300 and 400 years old, weighs around 1,130 tonnes, and contains approximately 820 cubic metres of timber within its trunk. Reaching the Ada Tree on the unsealed Ada River Rd and the clearly marked car park is the starting point for a scenic 4km round-trip walk that takes about 2 hours.
