On the 10th of May 2025 The Victorian Rally Championship held the Draper’s Civil Contracting-Ada River Rally. The cars also stopped by the Noojee Railyway Station Precinct.
The Draper’s Civil Contracting Ada River Rally is a prominent fixture in Victoria’s motorsport calendar, serving as a joint round of the Victorian Rally Championship (VRC) and the Victorian Club Rally Series (VCRS).Organized by the Western District Car Club (WDCC), the rally is based in Noojee, a town nestled in the Baw Baw Shire, and utilizes the surrounding forest roads for its stages. The event features a “blind” rally format, meaning competitors navigate the course without prior reconnaissance or pace notes, relying solely on route charts. The rally comprises approximately 142 km of competitive stages and 76 km of transport sections, with VCRS crews covering slightly shorter distances. The 2024 edition saw participation from 39 crews in the VRC and an additional 31 in the VCRS, highlighting its appeal to both seasoned and emerging rally teams. The event’s success is bolstered by the support of Draper’s Civil Contracting, a family-owned company with deep roots in the rally community, and the collaboration of local authorities and volunteers.Spectators are welcomed at the Noojee Heritage Centre, offering a chance to witness the rally action up close.
